Drs. Josh and Doug discuss their busy week, including a Skype-in with the Michigan state legislature. Good news, too–two Michigan doctors have joined the direct care ranks. Josh and Doug go over how local patients and media reacted to the transition (hint–they’re all positive), discuss their learnings from working with Michigan’s state government, and explain how direct care can benefit employers and employees in both quantitative and qualitative ways. The episode also addresses direct care’s relief of wasteful ER spending.
