What’s New in the Atlas.md EMR?

Some of the new features launched in the latest round of Atlas.md EMR updates include better security, better activity tracking, enhanced custom billing options for labs, and MMS messaging support.

New Inventory Sales & Expense Widget: The new inventory sales and expense widget shows you in plain daylight what you’ve profited vs what you’ve spent during any timeframe you choose. Read more about the widget here.

Two Step Authentication on Login: Now you have the option to enable two step authentication when you log in, during which you’ll enter an SMS code sent to your cell phone for an extra layer of account protection. Read more about that over here.

In-App Mass Emailing: Now you can send a mass email to multiple patients from right inside the app. Click here for all the details.

Send and Receive Images through SMS: Text isn’t the only hotshot in town anymore. Now images sent and received through MMS are stored inside the app, just like SMS messages.

Custom Labs Billing: Now you can enter custom prices for labs with a simple click. Read more about how it works here.

Open Prescription Alert: Forget to finish a prescription? We’ll help remind you with an alert that shows open prescriptions one week old or more.

Additional User Roles: Now your Atlas.md account can include more than physicians and nurses. New user roles include Nurse Practitioner, and Physician Assistant. Read more about user roles over here.

Money Saving Techniques: In case you’re curious how much money is being saved on prescriptions ordered and filled through the Atlas.md EMR, that magic number is now being displayed on the sales site. The number grows daily so check back often!

Introducing the Atlas.md Community Forum

Atlas.md Community Forum OpeningWe’re excited to announce the launch of Atlas.md’s Community Forum, where participating users can see how others are interacting with the app, ask questions or advice from those who are in similar situations, and even request features.

Atlas.md EMR users continue to find new and interesting ways to integrate the EMR into their practice, and they’re talking about it. By providing users a way to spread the word, our goal is to pull the DPC community together in the name of better patient care. Here’s how the forum works:

  • Ask Questions: Ask a fellow user, ask the Atlas.md team. Either way, get feedback from someone who understands what you’re going through.
  • Request a Feature: Wonder if anybody else wishes that button existed inside Atlas.md? Find out, and get a response from Atlas.md on what the plans are for adding it.
  • Get Status Updates: If we’re running an update, or experiencing the rare occasion of downtime, we’ll make sure the information is visible so you don’t have to go searching for answers.
  • Make Friends: We’re all in the same boat, with the same goal of providing patient-centric care while falling back in love with our jobs every day. Being able to talk to someone about all that is fantastic.

The Community Forum is open, so go check it out here!

Check out the latest round of updates and feature releases for the Atlas.md EMR.

The iPhone 6 and 6+ are bigger than ever. To accommodate, Atlas.md EMR improved the size and resolution of the graphics within the app to ensure users have a smooth experience throughout.

Automated Birthday Messages
Atlas.md EMR users can automatically send patients an email on their birthday. Read more about setting this up over here.

Easier Macro Viewing
Now you can view your custom macros, and patient-only macros with one click. Catch up on all things macro here.

Additional Notification Options
You already had the option to schedule appointment reminders or follow up messages using email, but now you can utilize Twitter DMs and SMS, too. Read more about it in this article.

Resend Fax Messages

What’s New in the Atlas.md EMR? Part Two.

Messages Inbox Now Includes Automatic Routing
When there’s no doubt when a message goes with a certain patient, Atlas.md will automatically put the message where it goes – in the correct patient’s chart. So if there are no duplicate email or phone numbers found, the app will be its proactive self by helping you out with the details. But don’t worry, these automatically routed messages can be easily reviewed, deleted or even re-assigned to different patients through your regular Messages Inbox. You’ll see a little note alerting you any time a message has been automatically routed.

Sending Emails Directly from Atlas.md
You’ve always been able to hook up your inbox to your external email client and send emails through Atlas.md, but now you have the option to skip the external part if you’d like. As long as you have Amazon email service enabled and verified, you can send emails to patients straight from the sidebar of Atlas.md. The message will still end up in the patient’s record, detouring around the inbox. Read more

What’s New in the Atlas.md EMR? Part One.

Here a look into the latest feature updates we’ve launched.

Introducing Your Files Inbox
The new Files Inbox feature allows your clinic to connect to other file sharing applications, or email-in files to make your clinic’s life easier by providing a quick and easy way to send attachments to your account. Essentially, your documents will now be accessible to the entire office. Catch up on the details over here.

Better Vitals Tracking
Now you can integrate fitness apps to Atlas.md to track vitals, or enter them manually to stay on top of your patients’ health. Read more about this update here.

Expanded Appointment Reminder Options
You can send appointment reminders using any of the patient’s preferred methods of contact, which now includes Twitter DMs. To review the full list of scheduling and appointment reminder options, read this.

But wait, there’s more! Now when you set an appointment, you can kill two birds with one stone by scheduling follow ups or reminders right then and there. That’s right – you can choose when the appointment notification goes out. Find out how over here.

More Macros
We’ve added some helpful macros to use throughout the application. Some of the newest include:

  • #SH: Social History
  • #HH: Health History
  • #CCH: Chronic Conditions History
  • #Vitals: integrates with vitals tracking feature above and inserts the latest reading taken.

Check out the full list here.

Custom Lab Attachments
You already know that if you use Quest for your lab processing, results are automatically uploaded to your patient’s chart. If you use another lab provider, however, now you can upload the results you get from them, and still tag it as a lab result so it’s just as searchable as Quest information. Read more about it over here.

What’s New in Atlas.md?

Atlas.md rolled out more updates! In this latest batch, you’ll find more features that help your clinic run more smoothly, details on security measures, and more ways to connect directly with your patients.

HumanAPI integration

Expanding our fitness tracking capabilities, Atlas.md has added support for the Human API, which is a gateway to most of the fitness devices and applications available on the market. We now support devices from Jawbone, Nike, iHealth and Withings as well as applications such as RunKeeper, Moves App and DailyMile.

Easily export basic patient details to CSV

Now you can easily export basic patient information to a CSV file, which can be read by Microsoft Excel, Google Apps and virtually any other application that supports spreadsheets. This also allows you to easily export lists to web applications like Campaign Monitor and Mail Chimp.

Extra security: inactivity logouts

You can now enable the “Inactivity Logout” feature, which kicks users out of the system after 30 inactive minutes. This can be useful for clinics who have shared computers in the office. It’s especially helpful for making sure the system stays secure for when someone forgets to logout, or leaves a computer unattended or unlocked.

Editable dashboard calendar

You can now adjust the calendar that shows up on your dashboard. This is specifically helpful for nurses and staff members who need to keep track of doctors’ appointments instead of their own.

Email notification on task completion

Now when someone completes a task you’ve assigned them, you’ll get a notification email confirming the completion. This closes any possible communication gap, and ensures you’re always in the loop on the delegated tasks.

Critical note for patient records

Atlas.md users can now add critical notes to patient charts. Critical notes are highlighted and fixed at the top of the patient record to ensure they are not overlooked. Critical notes are particularly useful for patients with a specific sensitive condition, allergies, etc.

Billing: expanded communication logs

We now keep track of all email invoices and failed payments for both patients and companies. Users can also add custom notes to the communication logs to help them keep track of other collection efforts made.

Referencing notes inside notes in the patient record

Atlas.md’s macro-autocompleter now allows you to reference other notes inside the same patient record. Just type “#attachment” to reference a previous attachment, “#prescription” to reference a previous prescription, etc.
